Can I get pregnant if I have unprotected sex 2 days before I got my period?

I'm on birth control. My inactive pills started on Thursday and that's the day I had unprotected sex. I had my period 2 days later on Saturday and began taking my next months pills on Monday. I thought it takes a few days to actually become pregnant after the initial sex so does the fact that I got my period matter or will it go towards my next cycle? Thanks so much!
